Audio Computer-Assisted Self Interviewing (Audio CASI, ACASI)

Computer-Assisted Self Interviewing (CASI) Using powerful mobile interviewing stations, the Survey Research Program has the capability to conduct in-house or on-site self-administered surveys.  With this application a respondent operates a computer, the computer displays the questions on screen and plays recordings of the questions to the respondent who enters answers directly into a database on the computer.  A respondent typically uses headphones with our Audio CASI solutions in order to maintain response privacy.  ACASI enhances perceived privacy for sensitive questions and is ideal for less literate populations.  ACASI is similar to CATI, CAPI, and CASI in programming requirements and function.

The Survey Research Program Audio CASI solutions are integrated into our overall interviewing system.  In addition, SRP provides consulting services for organizations wanting to operate their own Audio CASI systems.
